Barbara arrived in Concord at the age of 23, a young aspiring stylist. After working in several salons, including the famous Bogarts Salon, she opened Baaz Hair Studio in 1987. Barbara loves being a hair stylist. She enjoys working with the whole person and sees beauty in everyone. Barbara attended Marty Shauman School of Cosmotology in San Fransisco and has certificates of advanced hair cutting from Brunos of Toronto, Jingles of London, and the Redken Exchange in New York City. She has studied advanced hair color with Redken, All-Nutrient, Framesi, and Tutto USA Hair Color Academy. Barbara completed the salon psychology course with Matrix. She is also a certified color consultant through Beauty for All Seasons.

Barbara loves spending time with her two beautiful kids. She is passionate about dance and also enjoys hiking, skiing, and gardening.
